Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix's talent for athletics was evident from the moment she attended Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks after her first trial. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She was then accepted into University of Southern California to study elementary education. The following year, Felix won her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was named the world's youngest champion for the 200m race. She won the title the following year, beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a participant in her first Olympics and in the Olympics of Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her competitions.
