Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on December 2, 1981 . She was moved to Kentwood (Louisiana). As a youngster, Britney attended dance classes, and she was great in gymnastics. She won numerous events and such. But, more than anything, Britney loved to sing. At the age of 8, Britney attempted to audition for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) however she was rejected due to her age. Her next audition was for "Ruthless" Off-Broadway production in which she played as the title character for two years. When she was 11 she was back in the running for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and was this time able to make her debut as a mouseketeer, alongside numerous stars of today (Justin Timberlake as well as JC Chasez from *NSYNC as well as Ryan Gosling). However, her biggest breakthrough was in the late 1990s when she signed a contract as a Jive Recording artist. With the release of her debut album"Baby One More Time" "...Baby One More Time" in early 1999 Britney was a worldwide hit, selling 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9 million (as as of July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Did It Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears and she has a large brother, Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was the daughter of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to be a celebrity. Britney auditioned to The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on television when she was 8. But she was not old enough for the part. Britney moved to New York with her mother and her baby sister. She was a part of numerous TV ads and was the understudy of Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. After a few years, her love of dance and music became her main focus. Britney auditioned once more to appear on "Mickey Mouse" and was chosen with Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake.
