Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on August 26 2002. He is popularly known as Lil Tecca. His fame exploded due to the release of the 2019 hit single "Ransom" which reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single was included on his debut mixtape , We Love You Tecca (2019) which peaked at the top of the pile at 4 on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also included the singles "Love Me", "Did It Again" and "Did It Again". His first studio album"Virgo World" (2020), debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200 and included the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping songs "Dolly" and "When You Down". The second mixtape "We Love You Tecca 2", was released in August 2021. It featured "Repeat It", and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born the 26th of August, 2002 in the Queens area in New York City to Jamaican immigrants. Sharpe was born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, after which he moved to Cedarhurst on Long Island. Sharpe was a child who had aspirations to be an athlete in basketball, but he switched his focus to music at age twelve. Sharpe was a student at Lawrence High School. Tecca was nine years old at the time, was rapping with his friends using his Xbox to record. One of their diss tracks was uploaded to SoundCloud some time ago, but was later removed. In the beginning when he was a kid, he did not have any plans to pursue a career in music and instead envisioned becoming an NBA superstar. However, as he entered his middle school years his interest in basketball faded and was contemplating taking the music seriously. The first single he released, "Tectri", which has gained some attention in early 2017 was made in collaboration and released by Lil Gummybear. Other tracks from his early days include "Callin". The career of Tecca began a year later with the hit single "Ransom", which was released to Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd 2019. The track reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has been able to get over 800 million plays on Spotify and over 300 million views on YouTube.
