Rachel Anne McAdams
Rachel Anne McAdams was born on the 17th
of November 1978 in London, Ontario, Canada, to Sandra Kay (Gale), an RN and
Lance Frederick McAdams who is truck driver and furniture mover. She is
Englishand is Welsh-, Irish-, and Scottish. Rachel became involved with acting
at the age of 13 and by the age of 13 was appearing in Shakespearean
performances at the summer theater camps. She then completed her studies with
distinction, earning the BFA degree in Theater from York University. After her
debut in the episode of Disney's The Famous Jett Jackson (1998) In 1998, she
starred as a co-star on the Canadian television show Slings and Arrows (2003)
in a comedy-drama focusing on the challenges and struggles of an Shakespearean
theatre group. She also got an Gemini award for her performance in 2003.Her
breakthrough role as Regina George in the hit comedy Mean Girls (2004)
instantly put her on the short list of Hollywood's hottest young actresses.

Terrence Malick in To the Wonder (2012) and Noomi Rapace as Passion (2012) in
Brian De Palma's film thriller.
